About the Role

EatStreet is proud to announce that we are starting our own restaurant right in the heart of Downtown Madison. This location is right on State St and will serve as our very first Ghost Kitchen location. This is an opportunity to use your skills in the kitchen and be on the ground floor of our amazing new concepts.

Ghost Kitchens will serve multiple menus that our consumers will receive via delivery or pick up window only. There will be no “front of the house”. No customer seating, and our drivers will act as the servers.

The position is the backbone of our kitchen team. This role will specifically ensure that our food is ready for service, allowing our chefs to make the highest quality items as efficiently as possible. This role will make sure our team stays organized, clean, and prepared for the start and end of each day. Making this essential for our success.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation under the direction and coordination of kitchen staff


• Assist with set up and break down of stations for service


• Cleans and sanitizes all utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment including kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens and grills


• Ensures cooking equipment is in working order and informs supervisor with issues


• Maintain dish room and dish machine


• Restock all all cleaned and sanitized equipment


• Remove all garbage


• Break down, clean and sanitize the dish machine at the end of the shift


• Keep dish and other storage areas clean and organized


• Assist with cleaning other areas of operation as assigned


• Receive and unpack food deliveries


• Other duties as assigned

What We Expect You to Bring to the Table

• Prior kitchen experience is encouraged but not required


• Basic knowledge of, or willingness to learn, food handling, preparation and cooking


• Basic knowledge of, or willingness to learn, health, sanitation and safety regulations and guidelines


• Ability to utilize kitchen equipment such as ovens, knives, pots and pans


• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts


• Ability to lift 50 pounds


• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time which may exceed 8 hours per day


• Excellent time management skills


• Team player who thrives in a fast past, collaborative environment


• Thrives in environments that require multitasking and is a self starter


• Strong sense of accountability to self and teammates


• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
