We are seeking a motivated and energetic Senior Graphic Designer to join the Creative Services team at Independence Blue Cross. As an arm of our in-house creative team, the Senior Graphic Designer will create visual content and assets across a wide variety of print and digital media, including flyers, brochures, mailers, billboards, and other marketing pieces. The Senior Graphic Designer will have the opportunity to design work for several large internal and external sponsored events and campaigns. The Senior Graphic Designer must have the ability to think “big picture” and be able to articulate how their designs can be applied across a number of mediums including print, digital, advertising, and tv commercials. The Senior Graphic Designer will work with a team of creative professionals, and cross-functional partners at all levels, supporting company goals and media initiatives. Thus, candidates must have the skills to engage in a highly collaborative atmosphere. The candidate must also have expertise using the Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Candidates who also possess marketing and advertising strategy skillsets are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
Expert in creating and pitching concepts for large campaigns to the creative team
and clients
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Ensure projects are completed on budget, on time, and to a high standard
Follow creative direction and brand guidelines
Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the latest graphic design techniques
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Design/Graphics or equilavent work experience
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in demonstrated graphic design
Must be extremely organized with superior attention to detail
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously to completion, and prioritize deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong ability to build relationships, communicate (written and verbally), and work with associates and management across all levels
Advertising experience is ideal
Medicare experience is a plus
High integrity and excellent judgment
Team player, collaborative work attitude, yet a self-starter who is comfortable
taking initiative
