We are hiring!  We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter to join our geospatial team as a GIS Analyst.  Our ideal candidate will have education and entry-level experience with geospatial analysis, mapping processes, GIS software and technologies.

Under supervision, performs standard geographic information system (GIS) work while developing professional proficiency.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Generally, apply standard techniques and procedures in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified GIS tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.


• Ability to detect problems in using standardized procedures due to changes in client needs or project direction. 


• Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations which may include the following:
  
  
  • Conducts data gathering, conversion and analysis of GIS data.
  
  
  • Prepares data documentation or metadata for GIS Projects.
  
  
  • Prepares maps and exhibits with GIS data sets.
  
  
  • Participates in client needs analyses.
  
  
  • Maintains continued knowledge of technology developments in the GIS field and use of GIS software.
  
  
  • Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. 
  
  
  
  

What will you contribute?

• B.A. or B.S. or M.S. in Geography, computer science, or GIS-related environmental discipline.
  
  
  • Minimal experience required with bachelor’s degree; no experience required with master’s degree
  
  
  • Candidates without a B.S. or B.A. in Geography, Computer Science or related GIS Environmental Discipline will be considered with significant job experience related to job duties and requirements
  
  
  
  


• Esri ArcGIS Desktop or Pro experience


• Esri ArcGIS Geodatabase experience


• Candidate must be detailed oriented


• Candidate must have good communication skills


• 
  Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
  
  
  • Field data collection and utility mapping experience preferred
  
  
  • 
    Use of ArcGIS Collector, Survey123, Workforce or Field Maps applications preferred
  
  
  • Linear referencing system experience
  
  
  • Use of ArcGIS topology
  
  
  • Use of link-node networks
  
  
  • Works well in team environment
