Supervise and direct employees and contractors in Kinder Morgan Treating field operations. Oversee construction projects, maintenance and repair of systems, and plant operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of amine plant operations.
Supervise operational personnel of all plants in a given area.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and adhering to operating budgets.
Use problem solving skills to make well-reasoned decisions and to maintain efficient, reliable, safe and on-budget facilities.
Maintain facilities according to Kinder Morgan Environmental Health & Safety standards, and O&M Procedures.
Supervise all direct reports' expenses and costs, and inspect plant condition.
Communicate contractual requirements with all parties - customers, vendors and contractors.
Act as a mentor to employees and provide training and experience to allow for development into higher levels of operations, and advancement.
Other related duties and functions as trained and assigned.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Moderately advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook & Teams; Excel; various Kinder Morgan based programs and applications.
Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of motivation. Effective organization, planning, documenting, and completion of work projects with minimum supervision are essential.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all customers, and address issues in a timely manner to minimize plant downtime.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
Demonstrate strong leadership while working with a team of direct reports; take direction from immediate supervisor and upper management as necessary; develop, maintain and keep required work schedules.
Work closely with Kinder Morgan Business Development, Engineering, Operations Leadership and Project Management teams to ensure applications and processes meet both customer and KM requirements.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for Kinder Morgan Treating operations in one or more regions within Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Louisiana.
Required to live within area of responsibility.
Travel is required throughout the assigned area.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in related field, or 3 to 5 years' experience working with Amine Treating plants, TEG dehydration systems, JT plants or related natural gas treating systems.
EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
3 to 5 years Natural Gas Treating field experience required.
Minimum 3 years in a lead position or higher capacity required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record acceptable to Company and insurer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
