Job Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:



  • Performs assembly, disassembly and/or assembly repair operations in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assemble products according to order specifications and quality requirements.

  • Follow work instructions per scheduled product build.

  • Follow 5S procedures, maintaining a clean & organized work area.

  • Perform assembly tasks safely using appropriate assembly tools such as powered and non-powered.

  • Work as a contributing team member supporting the safety, quality, productivity, and delivery of goals.

  • Performs assembly, disassembly and/or assembly repair operations in a team environment.

  • Proactively identify issues during production to prevent reduced quality.

  • Evaluate and identify areas to improve manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to adapt and experiment with new processes in an ongoing effort to establish lean manufacturing protocols.

  • Ability to work with test tools utilizing test equipment.

  • Lubricates, checks and/or cleans equipment and tooling.

  • Performs some preventive maintenance and adjustments to equipment.

  • Checks results for conformance to print and/or specifications and makes necessary corrections.

  • Records data and/or keeps records for quality, maintenance and/or preventive maintenance, etc.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Work in a manufacturing environment with the use of proper PPE required.

  • Varying ambient temperatures from wet to dry, possible high heat and extreme cold.

  • Must be capable of working in an environment that varies.

  • Must be able to lift 60-75 lbs.

  • Will be some contact with greases and oils.

  • Moves and positions loads/materials.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to use various hand tools both.

  • Ability to use a volt/ohm meter for power testing.

  • Ability to work on your feet, physically set and clean workspaces.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school degree, GED or equivalent required, associate degree a plus.

  • 2-5 years experience in a mechanical assembly, service or maintenance role, preferably in an automotive field.

  • Impeccable attention to detail.
