Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking to hire a junior Software Developer. The candidate will be part of an established team responsible for Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test (GT) scenario design and planning for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate will help develop analytical tools to support data, simulation integration, interface, and network analyses. The candidate will assist in activities that include establishing requirements, tool creation, testing and documentation.

General

Working knowledge of SQL and database development (prefer C# as well)

Ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, to perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment

Good computational software skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills

Must be proactive to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule

Must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience and/or knowledge utilizing Agile and/or DevOps development processes

GUI development
