Position Description/Overview:

Press Ganey is looking for a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer to join our application team. While we welcome a syntax polyglot, a passion for working with JavaScript is a must. This role will participate in initiatives to modernize our application stack using the latest technologies and best practices. The opportunities in migrating an existing product serving hundreds of clients and millions of end users without any downtime, is an engaging experience for any developer looking for a playground to grow.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Write high-performance, scalable, and reusable code.


• Develop new features, enhance existing features, and implement bug fixes.


• Create modern and responsive layouts from mockups and user stories.


• Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may be encountered across applications.


• Review the code of other developers and provide constructive feedback.


• Participate in product planning sessions and accurately estimate task effort.

Qualifications:

• BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science.


• 3+ years of software design and web application development.


• Fluent in client and server-side JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Node.js and webpack.


• Experience in building and using RESTful APIs; exposure to GraphQL is a plus.


• Experience interfacing with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.


• Well versed with code versioning tools such as Git and CI/CD.


• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities/tasks.


• You embrace complex technical challenges and thrive on discovering simple solutions.


• Constant learning. You are someone who enjoys learning new technologies and trends regularly.


• Knowledge of AWS products and experience developing serverless applications using Amplify, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, API Gateway and authoring SAM (or CloudFormation) templates is a major plus.


• Ability to easily adapt prototypes from design tools (Figma, Storybook, Invision, etc.).


• Experience writing integration and unit tests.


• Experience in the agile development process.


• Experience using GitHub. GitKraken is a plus.


• Experience with Apache, Linux, PHP, AngularJS, Elasticsearch technologies.
