TheMerchandising Manager, Planning and Analysiswill be a critical part of theMerchandising team, reporting to the Director of Category Management. In this role you will work closely with the Director of Category Management and Merchandising to continually drive business process and efficiencies forward. You will assist in the data structuring, validation and maintenance of data integrity within the Merchandising team, to include; but not limited to Price Book, vendor provided data, and reference data We offer a flexible work environment, allowing you to work from home up to two days a week for all staff.

"Gauges" of Responsibility


  • Discover patterns and anomalies in data using ad hoc query/visual discovery

  • Articulate the structure, components, and relationship of data models

  • Verify data in the data warehouse tables

  • Use data necessary to answer business questions including data from data warehouse, operational systems, SQL, and external sources

  • Work with CMM team to address and maintain data disciplines

Reporting and Analysis


  • Responsible for the development and reporting of Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly performance scorecard performance for:

    • Data issues

    • Business trends and opportunities

    • Able to project and quantify proposed actions



  • Work with Category Managers to establish and adjust pricing rules

  • Provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations based on data trends

  • Identify, develop, and improve reporting based on business need

Data Management


  • Able to interface and find optimum way to structure data from different platforms

  • Lead data management efforts, implementing structured data guidelines for all required business attributes for improved reporting

  • Work with Category Management team to structure data and processes around

    • Pricing Rules and Synergies

    • Store Space Management

    • Vendor information and attributes

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma preferred

  • Proficient in MS Office - to include advanced Excel and MS Access

  • Extensive familiarity with P&L analysis

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree (Economics, Data Analytics) or related field or equivalent knowledge preferred
