About the job

Within our US Service and Marine Division, you will be responsible for supporting control upgrade and connected services on multiple Alfa Laval products and Business Units in their effort to provide positive experience and value added services to customers. 

In this role, you will be an active member of the Advanced Technical Service team and will contribute to the growth of the business.  From a daily responsibility standpoint, you will:


  • Be the local technical expertise on available connected Services

  • Be in direct contact with central competence when necessary

  • Support sales and service with technical clarifications and be a local speaking partner for connected services

  • Support internal trainings and customer meetings

  • Support offering preparation and contract implementation

  • Provide Customer and field support of equipment to troubleshoot and resolve site issues with automation packages

  • Maintenance and updating of automation and electrical documentation within file warehouse.

  • Coordinates with Automation & Connectivity product manager for replacement and upgrade opportunities from technical helpdesk inquiries.

  • Project management of control/automation scope of aftermarket (parts/service) orders.

  • Onsite start-up support for control/automation scope of aftermarket (parts/service) orders.

  • Take part and contribute to continuous quality improvement and claims resolution

What you know

You have excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills. You have high energy, a positive attitude and enjoy developing the customer relationship. You have 3 years prior experience in:


  • Controls Design

  • Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI programming; Electrical troubleshooting, excellent verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of AutoCAD, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows, knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and hazardous area installations.

  • Solid technical background with relevant education and/or experience in automation and/or connectivity solutions

An associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology or a related field is required.  Travel up to 25% of the time to be expected
