Job Description:

Key Objectives:

A TPA Funding Senior Financial Analyst is needed to provide strong leadership and guidance to the TPA funding team.  The TPA Funding Senior Financial Analyst works with Chubb NA Claims and the Business Divisions to ensure that the TPAs are properly and timely funded and audit requirements are met.  This role facilitates the critical relationship between Chubb NA Claims and the Finance Groups within the Business Divisions by fostering strong partnerships that positively influence Chubb’s ability to attract and retain business.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Participate in core departmental activities, such as analysis, verification, and payment of weekly and monthly loss reimbursement invoices from partner TPAs

  • Act as a good steward of Chubb funds and proactively identify leakage prevention opportunities; develop techniques for leakage prevention and maintain leakage prevention log

  • Provide data, information & assistance to Collections Shared Service Center (CSSC) regarding TPA bank accounts and imprest activity as part of annual SOX compliance

  • Provide support & detailed information to CSSC, WC Oversight, UW, Legal, & Credit Management as requested regarding client accounts, policy loss data & TPA funding

  • Closely monitor and act as a main point of contact for complex accounts (i.e. sliders, corridors or new bankruptcies)

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to review imprest amounts and take appropriate action

  • Organize and oversee department peer review (self-audit) program

  • Act as lead in clean-up and/or reconciliation effort for historical accounts

  • Assist TPA Funding Supervisor in monitoring metrics to ensure payments are made timely and completely

  • Monitor department shared inboxes and maintenance of shared drive directories and department Village page

  • Evaluate, develop, implement and improve department processes and procedures

  • Act as key contact for underwriting, claims, other members of the TPA Management & Client Services Team to resolve TPA funding issues

  • Engages with TPA Funding Supervisor in strategic planning to continuously strengthen our TPA services and relationships

  • Other duties include: processing aggregate calculations as requested by field office claim representatives, compiling departmental weekly and monthly reports, processing service fee invoices and prefunding requests.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field

Superior planning and problem solving skills

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data

Strong collaboration and relationship building skills

Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organizational and priority setting skills

Must be a self-motivated learner that can work in a team environment, and have the ability to develop strong working relationships to influence stakeholders to take action

Experience in either Claims TPA Management or Account Management

Proficiency in Chubb systems, the Microsoft Suite (Word/Excel), Access databases and SharePoint

Seven or more years of Property/ Casualty insurance experience is strongly preferred
