Responsibilities

Strategic Missions Assistant Program Manager (APM) will work closely with the Strategic Missions Program Manager and Business Area Lead and have a role in the development, execution, and growth in Strategic, Space, Missile Defense, and Hypersonic business areas. APM is accountable for the design, development, and success of the platforms and solutions provided to the customer. The APM will work closely with engineering counterparts in executing existing programs and working proposals for potential customers and industry partners. AMP will lead teams of engineers in short or long duration development projects and report results to senior leadership.

The candidate should have a strong interest in the aerospace industry and Department of Defense programs. The candidate should be able to show past performance in the creation of new products and/or services. The candidate should be able to create Executive level presentations and engage in strategic partnership development activities. The candidate should have experience and a degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Position is Cambridge or Huntsville, AL, St. Petersburgh, FL or Draper Facility Based w/travel to Cambridge

4 - 6+ years' Experience in Relevant Technical Field or Industry or Business

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education: BS in relevant Technical Field or MS Equivalent or MBA

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed in order to meet deadlines

    • High level of independent judgment and proactivity



  • Ability to collaborate with diverse and complex stakeholders, including interacting, gaining credibility, building relationships with, and influencing others at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership

  • Self-motivation, entrepreneurialism, high energy, and the ability to successfully function in a high-demand, performance-driven environment with significant exposure to senior leadership

  • Experience developing new products and/or services with demonstrated results

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all audiences in a manner that is clear, logical, and consistent, both verbally and on paper

  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project

Security Requirement:

  • Current in scope Top Secret security clearance is required.
