Minimal Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
* 1 year of printing services experience.
* Valid Driver's License required

Preferred qualifications:
* History of work longevity at previous employment.
* Proven knowledge of sheet fed offset operation.
* Experience in routine maintenance of Offset Sheet-fed printing equipment.
* Proven experience with digital workflows.
* Experience working in a complex organization.
* Experience with Mac and Windows OS.
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Experience in working as part of a team as well as independently.
* Evidence of working with strict timelines and meeting deadlines.
* Demonstrated understanding of print quality and key measures in obtaining such.

Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.

Compensation
The annual salary is $30,677. A competitive benefit package is included.

Class Summary
Incumbents operate and maintain printing equipment and bindery equipment to prepare printing materials; print, cut, fold and bind printed products; prepare mailing letters with requested information; and coordinate prospect mailings between the printing department and the mailing service agencies.

Typical Essential Duties
* Operates and maintains printing and bindery equipment to prepare printing materials; may perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
* Prints, cuts, folds, and binds printed products per instructions; prepares files for copying, binding, and/or printing.
* Coordinates with the printing department and mailing service agencies to facilitate mailing operations; work may involve preparing mailing letters based on requested information; sending out mail to students and other relevant parties; and cutting, boxing, and shipping items/products.
* Assists with monitoring inventory to replenish inventory and supplies, and may order marketing and other materials as requested.
* Prepares, maintains, and updates routine reports and records; processes payments; and prepares receipts.
* Provides customer service by responding to questions and inquiries from customers, staff, students, and other parties; creates print accounts; and edits/formats artwork when needed.
* When required: Receives and sorts US and carrier delivered mail and packages, delivers U.S. and MCC intercampus mail to the campuses and sites, and assists with other transportation related tasks upon request.

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require: balancing, fingering, grasping, hearing, reaching, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking. The work is very heavy work which requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be exposed to hazardous physical conditions, such as, mechanical parts, electrical currents, and vibrations; atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, gases, and poor ventilation; hazardous materials, such as chemicals, blood, and other bodily fluids; extreme temperatures; inadequate lighting; work space-related movement restrictions; intense noise; other environmental conditions, such as, challenging behaviors, imminent danger, and threatening environment.
