Assembly Maintenance Planning Analyst at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC in Spartanburg, South Carolina

Job Description:

The Maintenance Planning Analyst:

• Supports project planning measures to maintain or improve equipment or system performance (repairs, continuous improvements/optimizations, & new installations, etc.).
• Provides support to multiple conveyor technologies, monitoring/information systems, and all process equipment in the technology Assembly.
• Supports the optimization of the technical conveying and assembly equipment within the Assembly Department.
• Develops and implements countermeasures that improve equipment reliability.
• Participates in series and project-oriented planning and realization of improvement measures.
• Ensures proper component specific documentation delivery from the original equipment manufacturer, including a complete purchase parts list.
• Supports the resolution of new model or project impacts within the Assembly Department.
• Evaluates concepts with technical and financial focus and suggests necessary changes according to the BMW Group standards.
• Determines the optimal solutions in regard to costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation and environment.
• Collaborates with the other internal BMW teams and suppliers.
• Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
• Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• BA/ BS degree (Engineering Preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in a manufacturing role.
• 2+ years of experience in technical planning or project management (automotive preferred) in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years problem solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement
• 2+ years MS Office.
• 2+ years EPLAN, SAP, IPST or similar CMMS systems (preferred).
• 2+ years written and verbal communication skills.
• 1+ years of risk management strategy and practices related to plant and equipment.
• 1+ years of quality management methods and practices related to plant and equipment related reliability.
• 1+ years project management in manufacturing.
• 1+ years technical drawings and specifications.
