The Director, Project Management will be reporting to the SVP, Project Management Officer, and is responsible for managing a culture of execution excellence coupled with disciplined processes to manage, develop, and advance the projects that are approved for POM oversight. The Director, PM is responsible for managing key project on time and within budget multiple cross functional teams within the organization. The Director, in concert with the SVP, will determine the scope of each project, including goals, timeline, budget, and objective. During the planning process, the Director will collaborate with associates in each department on a weekly basis and provide weekly/monthly reporting and dashboards for all PMO projects. Additional responsibilities include overseeing teams assigned to different projects and encouraging development in certain areas on behalf of the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management for Project Management Function, including matrix accountability for their cross-functional teams
Develop weekly, monthly, and yearly Project Management revenue/expense forecasting process, tracking of all current projects, and prioritizing upcoming projects
Ensure excellence in execution and help achieve delivery of PM milestones and revenue goals through closely monitoring and working cross functional teams in identifying expansion of scope of work on signed programs
Hold weekly project review meetings with the PM(s) and cross functional team
Coordinate and develop the monthly PM review meeting with Senior Management
Ensure Gate review process is enhanced and administered properly as a part of project management responsibility
Support weekly PM executive review process
Ensure all key performance metrics as defined by the company are met
Ensure clear prioritization and execution of all projects in accordance with expectations in terms of milestone deliverables and budget
Create long and short-term plans including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadline
Communicating with senior management and keep the projects aligned with goals
Education or Equivalent:
Bachelor of Science Project Management or Business, or related fields
PMP Certification preferred
3 plus years of PM experience, including demonstrated successful leadership of a PM team/function with successful track record of deliver projects on time with quality
Experience building and/or improving PM capability for a site or business unit
