Edible Inc, a specialized food and beverage agency within the Daniel J. Edelman Holdings (DJE) family of companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Director to join our growing team.

Founded in 2014, Edible is focused entirely on the culture, tastes and business of a rapidly changing food and beverage industry. As part of the Edible US team, you will join a close-knit, collaborative network of food-obsessed communication leaders - including strategists, creatives, media specialists and influencer experts, who come together to help our clients solve business challenges, build trust and shape culture.

We are currently seeking a Strategy Director with experience developing business and communication strategies for clients. We're looking for someone who brings a deeply rooted passion for food culture into the audience insight discovery process. This role is for you if you want to do industry-leading work that earns attention and inspires conversation.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a brand planner/strategist at an advertising, digital or PR agency, consultancy, or on the food & beverage client-side with experience collaborating with a cross-functional team


• Experience counseling teams and clients in both day-to-day decision making and big bets


• Experience coaching jr. strategists in the research and insight discovery process


• Brand-centric experience connecting with consumers in a meaningful and fresh way


• Driven to collaborate and incorporate counsel from experts in media, influencer, and digital platforms


• Nimble thinker that can scale the strategic lift to the ask - just as comfortable working on small-scale, short-term programs for growth brands as annual plans for CPG companies


• A zest for storytelling, that balances the consumer perspective with what will earn interest from reporters


• A relentless belief that the best insights are yet to be found


• Ability to examine a problem from different perspectives (and alternate strategic routes) without losing sight of the big picture


• Must be able to be consultative by nature and think quick on your feet, particularly in unpredictable circumstances


• An ability to conduct and meaningfully assess primary and secondary research


• Keep a finger on the pulse of food culture, with the ability to regularly identify offer perspective on critical issues, trends and opportunities for clients


• Strong familiarity with common digital and social platforms and how to efficiently leverage these channels to deliver compelling communications


• Experience working in CPG inter-agency teams (IATs) a plus
