Job Title: Associate, Global Brand Communications - PR

Reports to: Manager, Global Brand Communications – PR

Location:  Goleta, CA

The Role

Under the direction of the PR Manager, the PR Associate will support the planning and hands-on execution of the overall PR strategy through thoughtful collaboration with our agency partners and cross-functional teams.

The PR Associate Manager will contribute to the consistent communication of the HOKA brand messaging for media as well as internal and external partners. Additionally, this role will oversee all sample requests, editorial product pulls; and support in the management of the day-to-day relationship with our PR agencies.

Your Impact
 

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to: This should only have 3-4 bullets highlighting the key functions of the role

• Collaborate on PR planning for core running and lifestyle; from brainstorming tactics, possible partnerships, contests, events, ensuring that the plans are executed in the approved timeframe.


• Write/ edit copy for media alerts and press releases as needed, in addition to working with key stakeholders for approvals.

• Manage all internal PR recap reports and communicate out to global partners and HOKA team members in a biweekly, monthly and quarterly basis.


• Scan and monitor real-time trends in the Brand’s competitive marketplace (core running, outdoor and lifestyle). Staying up-to-date on PR and footwear industry news.

• oversee sample management of HOKA products, managing seasonal/special orders to the production team and fulfilling editorial requests.

Who You Are

• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Strong familiarity and passion for PR, with an eye towards innovation


• Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents


• Ability to use independent judgment in performing daily duties

• Bachelor’s degree minimum related to Marketing or Communications


• Must have at least 2 years of experience in Public Relations or marketing, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment—preferably in footwear or fitness/running industry


• Proven success at multitasking in a fast-paced environment


• Experience in writing, editing copy, press releases, and media alerts, etc.


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint


• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
