Job Description:

A well-known facility in Southern Texas is seeking a Regional Director Laboratory Services! The candidate with experience in oversight of multiple hospital laboratories will be welcomed to the opportunity.

This large non-profit healthcare organization, that has locations all throughout the State of Texas, specializes in a variety of medical services including: advanced multi-specialty surgical services, primary care and outpatient services, pediatric and neonatal care, inpatient medical surgical care, 24/7 emergency services, outpatient surgery, wound care, rehabilitation, and more. This organization contains several Magnet Program designated facilities, a trauma program, and continually receives awards for excellence in care. 

The Regional Director Laboratory Services will be responsible for oversight of several clinical laboratories within this healthcare organization, managing day-to-day and long-term operations. The Lab Services Regional Director will oversee lab operations of several clinical sites. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to oversight of:

• EMR Documentation and Reporting


• Budgetary Monitoring and Expense Control


• Lab Equipment Function, Purchasing, and Monitoring


• Quality Control Measures Implementation and Lab Safety


• Pre and Post Analytic Testing

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS). MBA, MHA, or Master’s Degree in Administration is highly desirable. Multi-hospital laboratory leadership experience is also required.
