Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Sr Analyst, Diversity & Workforce Communications within our Business Transformation department based in Houston, TX.
The objective of this role is to support the planning and development of strategic campaigns and content creation related to Oxy's Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) program as well as other workforce programs. To be successful, the candidate will need to be an exceptional writer with the skills to partner with colleagues among all levels of the organization. Flexibility, the ability to be hands-on and an interest in the energy industry are critical. This role will report to the Director of Content and Messaging Strategy, which is part of Oxy's Business Transformation Team. Additionally, this individual will partner closely with Oxy's head of DIB and other members of HR leadership.
Goals
Drive a holistic communications strategy that keeps our employees and broader network informed of and engaged in Oxy's DIB initiatives
Through impactful storytelling, creative influence, and full cycle campaign management; cultivate a climate of awareness, understanding and respect for all individuals and groups across Oxy's internal and external stakeholder networks
Provide status updates on progress in implementing our DIB strategy through engagement and readership metrics, and identify strategic communication touchpoints to share metrics, key gains and milestones
Responsibilities
Proactively identify and develop opportunities for integration of DIB-related communication across all Oxy channels, internally and externally
Build and update calendars, write and edit copy, field and prioritize requests and provide communications support for all DIB-related programs as needed, and other workforce-related programs as time allows
Write content for other employee communications channels including emails, newsletters, video scripts, presentations, signage and more
Contribute writing and editorial support to employee communications efforts
Execute DIB and other HR-related content development /strategy/governance for corporate website in coordination with internal stakeholders and content owners
Integrate DIB and HR-related content into Oxy's social media and marketing strategies
Establish and maintain communication strategies related to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Perform other duties as assigned, to support Oxy's global strategic communications
Establish and maintain editorial and stylistic standards, working with our multimedia team, to ensure that all materials are of the highest possible quality and reflect the company's goals and values
Demonstrate leadership and flexibility by working on projects with other team members
Coordinate communications with agencies or contractors and associated budget
Ensure all brand standards are upheld through internal and external communications and campaigns

Excellent writing and editing capabilities with experience creating content for online and offline channels
Strong experience with social media and digital marketing best practices and experience across all major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube)
Proficient in all Microsoft applications with strong PowerPoint and visual presentation skills preferred
Proficient in communications technologies/platforms including web and email
Proven track record of developing and managing successful communications and/or digital marketing plans that support company strategy and thought leadership
Excellent verbal communication skills: ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization, whether in our fields, plants, platforms of offices, and in the diverse countries and regions where Oxy operates
Good project management skills

Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Communications or related field
7-10 years professional communications experience, with specific experience in diversity programs and campaign management
Knowledge of oil and gas and/or chemicals industry with direct experience preferred
