GTAW Welder at Ametek, Inc. in Naugatuck, Connecticut

Job Description:

GTAW Welder is responsible for set up, operation and completion of jobs according to Engineering Drawings.

• Follow instructions contained in the work order and examine final product to confirm completion, according to specification.
• Welding components using Auto-TIG and Hand-TIG
• Cleans and assembles part, using solvents, degreasing equipment, and press or oven.
• Documents the findings on the work order and marks the samples with date and includes them with the order.
• Loads and unloads products.
• Perform start-stop procedures.
• Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machinery.
• Welds production lots.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies, and products.
