GIS Consultant at Infosys Limited in Richardson, Texas

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a GIS Consultant -In this role, In this position, We are looking for a candidate with a strong GIS domain background and hands on Esri Tools . Experience in implementing GIS systems will be an added advantage. S/he should have experience of playing the GIS development and lead role . Candidates with strong development background in Esri suite of applications will be preferred in this role.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
•Candidate can work from anywhere within the US and or be remote. This position may require relocation and or travel to project location.
• Experience in GIS

Preferred

• Experience in working with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server (Javascript API, HTML5, Type Script, Silverlight API, custom Widgets), ArcGIS Online, Web App Builder and ArcGIS Mobile.
• Experience with Oracle and MS SQL-Server
• Hands on experience with GIS Product like ArcGIS server, Data Model, web services, python scripting, geo-processing services.
• Hands on experience with GIS Product like Schenider ArcFM Desktop , Session Manager , Process manager , Geodatabase manager and Designer
The typical responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Should be familiar with the latest technology trends in the GIS Industry.
• Coordinate with offshore in converting the business requirements into functional use cases and technical design.
• Should be able to guide the developers in resolving issues related to the development.
• Develop GIS based POCs to showcase ideas, prepare for demos to presenting to the business user.
• Should be able to perform issue resolutions during support /Post-Go Live phase.
• Should be able to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested.
• The candidate must be a team player and is also expected to help the project team with any functional issues that may arise during the course of the project.
• Participate in project review meetings with the client and provide regular updates to offshore.
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
