The Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor team is responsible for managing the mainframe environment including vendor software and hardware while improving service, reliability, and reducing cost. Major responsibilities are ownership of products and assuring currency and reliability. Stay current on product trends in the industry and mainframe environment. Assist other infrastructure and application teams resolve problems and maximize functionality for the business while reducing costs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ISV products. Activities range from initial installation, applying vendor maintenance, problem resolution, and assisting internal Cigna customers with use of the product.


• Coordinate hardware maintenance for mainframes throughout the lifecycle.


• Manage mainframe performance


• Manage and assist in negotiations of vendor software and hardware contracts.


• Providing the leadership qualities that can raise the level of performance of the team.


• Provide direction to continually improve the mainframe environment by increasing availability and reducing overall cost.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Associate's degree preferred.


• Strong understanding and experience with z/OS mainframe operating systems and program products.


• Experience with JCL, JES, SMP/E, and RACF.


• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to collaborate with different roles/teams to achieve common goals.


• Provide 24x7 rotational on-call technical support.

This role is WAH which allows work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite. Currently we are encouraging all employee to remain working from home and all onsite meetings require a virtual option.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $111,900 - $186,500, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
