Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner in our Smyrna, TN location.

The Smyrna, Tennessee Plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Human Resources Business Partner Representative - Generalist. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this position is accountable for implementation and interpretation of existing Human Resources policies on a day-to-day basis. The person in this role supports the administration of recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, safety and environment, governmental reporting, and employee relations.

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Maintaining positive employee engagement throughout the Plant by focusing on employee activities, employee recognition programs, career development and communication forums.
  • Works closely with management and employees to enhance work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
  • Providing advice concerning matters with employee discipline and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting management with salary planning, job evaluations, performance appraisal systems, and benefits administration.
  • Providing guidance in matters of employment law. Ensuring reporting requirements are completed in areas such as employment and employee separation.
  • Serving as a liaison with the communities or outside agencies regarding HR activities or programs.
  • Providing change and project management skills; demonstrating success managing projects that drive behavioral changes.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field

  • Internship experience in Human Resources
