Job Description:

$250 SIGN-ON BONUS UPON COMPLETION OF 60 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.

Food runners are an essential part of the Havana Central team. Their main duty is to deliver or run food to table once it is prepared. A food runner needs to be extremely efficient and detail oriented along with having a courteous manner as they are always in direct contact with the guest. S/he is the last person to see each dish before it reaches the guest, so its important for them to know what each dish is supposed to look like so nothing is missed. Its also important that the plates are handled carefully and brought out in a timely manner, to ensure optimal food temperature. Other duties include describing dishes to a guest, removing soiled plates, restocking supplies, maintaining a clean work space

• 6 months experience as a food runner in a full-service restaurant preferred.


• Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.


• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.


• Intermediate English communication skills.


• Ability to work effectively within a team.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.


• Continuous use of hands and arms as well as bending, reaching and twisting.
