Schneider Electric's Lexington, KY facility is seeking a motivated and versatile individual to serve as a Manufacturing Supervisor, supporting the second shift Equipment & Machine Maintenance Department and possibly fabrication or assembly groups. Schneider Electric is a growing, dynamic company and the Lexington Square D manufacturing plant is a very vertically integrated MTS/MTO facility with a high level of automation. This position is for our second shift operation. The individual in this role will be directly responsible for the supervision of the maintenance team, possibly fabrication and/or assembly groups, and support continuous improvement of the Lexington plant's production equipment. This position will supervise approximately 20 people.
This job might be for you if:
You possess a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge related to industrial processes (Maintenance, Fabrication, Assembly). This position requires a proven leader with the abilities to drive improvement within maintenance, fabrication, and/or assembly departments and troubleshoot issues related to Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience as a manager/supervisor in high volume manufacturing
College diploma preferably related to industrial processes or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and driven individual desiring to make an immediate impact
Proven leadership skills with a drive to succeed
Working Knowledge of MS Office
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
Ability to identify waste and drive it out of complex processes
Ability to prepare written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and develop action plans to strategically eliminate barriers
Preferred:
Experience within Metal Fabrication, Injection Molding, Plating, Automated Assembly
