Production Support Application Advisor at Cigna in Memphis, Tennessee

The Production Support Application Advisor (Application Development Advisor) provides a bridge to the delivery scrum teams, driving efficiencies, quick turn around and quality resolution of production defects that are impacting internal and external customers. The resource will also provide rotational 24/7 on-call support for critical issues that may occur outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities


  • Monitors and reviews incidents reported by business teams.

  • Provides hands-on technical tier 2 research and root cause analysis.

  • Perform in-depth data and systems analysis

  • Provides 24/7 on-call support for production application outages and critical incidents.

  • Ability to work with a variety of staff and resources in multiple time zones and locations.

  • Manages configuration changes and develops batch data updates

  • Maintains process and troubleshooting documentation to be utilized by the team.

  • Organize and coordinate meetings with business users for specific application areas, as well as work to prioritize requests from business users for those areas.

  • Perform code reviews

  • Act as backup for team manager including release deployment and internal support requests.

  • May be assigned to special projects that drive continuous improvement of services and production control processes.

Qualifications


  • High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • A solid understanding of and experience with relational database management systems, Oracle, and/or SQL Server experience a must.

  • 4+ years programming experience in 2 or more technologies: SQL Server T-SQL, SSISOracle PL/SQL, AIX Shell Scripting, Java, Cognos, Qlikview, Salesforce, Vlocity, and Angular.

  • Experience with at least one of the following technologies required: Java, SSIS, or Salesforce.

  • Strong analytical skills and debugging capabilities, as well as the ability to work with little supervision and minimal training/documentation.

  • Exposure to and experience with SSIS technologies and SQL Server-based applications a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities in a dynamic environment.

This role is WAH which allows work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite. Currently, we are encouraging all employees to remain working from home and all onsite meetings require a virtual option.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $88,100 - $146,800, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
