Cognizant is seeking a (IoT) Android Software Engineer in Mountain View, CA.

• Track incoming issues from Engprod team and triage (sometimes fix) issues.
• Work with Program managers (TPM) to investigate the test failures and drive towards resolution\
• Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance fixes (like how to run the compliance suite where to land fixes)
• Provide weekly status to the teams
Overall Responsibilities:
• Achieve a 100% pass rate for Android Compliance (like CTS VTS and many more) on the Android Automotive internal reference platform for every Android release.
• Software Engineers to work as part of our compliance team searching for investigating reporting and tracking defects.
• Duties include triaging failures and fixing them sometimes working with test owners to fix them.
• Operating and analyzing compliance defect reports and sharing reports with the team.
• Depending on skills the S/w engineer might also be involved in more technical aspects of compliance.
Skills & Requirements
• Software Engineers with experience on Android Platform development (NOT Android App development).
• 4+ years of experience in platform validation/testing
• Knowledge of C/C++ Java or Python.
• Working Knowledge of Unix / Linux.
• 3+ years' experience in triaging tracking and reporting issues.
• 3+ years' experience in debugging and fixing software issues.
