Manager - Registration at Vancouver Clinic in Vancouver, Washington

Job Description:

Manages the Registration team, including Registration Supervisors and their Patient Service Representatives. Provides leadership and coaching for the area of Registration, check-in/ out, Scheduling, and related services to best support the clinical departments resulting in excellent patient experiences and outcomes. Develop, manage, and sustain a high-performing work team that consistently delivers on expectations, and achieves both service and financial performance targets. Creates, maintains, and controls (audits) standard work procedures for registration supervisors and PSR's. Continuously improves processes, applying Lean and other improvement methods, to meet the evolving requirements of patient experience.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with internal and external customers; ability to work with all levels of the organization and to work as a member of a team.

  • Track record of maintaining quality standards and implementing quality initiatives.

  • Ability to evaluate budget performance to achieve financial expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to interview, select, train, and develop qualified staff.

  • Competence in staff development and performance evaluations.

  • Ability to develop and articulate goals and promote organizational strategies.

  • Ability to assess the performance of individuals, establish performance standards, implement change, implement accountability and reward achievement.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment.

  • Skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power Point, Word. Visio desired.

  • Epic Cadence Prelude proficient.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Five years of healthcare experience strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience of at least seven direct reports.

  • Experience managing the performance of frontline and supervisor level employees.

  • Experience applying Lean Six Sigma, and other methods to improve healthcare and service processes preferred. Certification in these improvement areas desired.

  • Experience with Epic Cadence/Prelude strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience using workforce management principles.

  • Experience collaborating across functions in mid to large organizations.

  • Working knowledge of Human Resource law and policies.

  • Experience with oversight of cash handling.
