Job Description:

Edelman's Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) team is a strategic consultancy with the reach and resources of the world's largest public relations and communications firm. Our team works with businesses and global functions to drive client strategies that address ESG trends and to determine factors that align with and support business goals. The team is situated within Edelman's global Financial Communications division.

We provide a market-leading suite of services grounded in consulting skills, capital markets experience, legal/regulatory expertise, deep ESG knowledge, and superior storytelling and creative to help clients build, execute and communicate ESG strategies that mitigate risks, capture business opportunities, and earn the trust of investors and other stakeholders.

We are seeking a Senior Account Supervisor to join our growing ESG team. This new role reports to Senior Vice President, ESG, Financial Communications & Capital Markets based in New York City.

Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Lead the creation of ESG reports, strategy documents and supporting materials

    • Collaborate with editorial, design and digital teams to develop compelling, transparent and strategic ESG reports and associated materials

    • Demonstrate ability to lead large projects and teams on sizable accounts

    • Serve as daily client contact, client lead and project manager

    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and their missions, ESG strategies, gaps and opportunities, as well as their key stakeholders: employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc., impart knowledge to broader account team members

    • Help set client program goals and manage against them

    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately judge and edit work of others

    • Oversee quality and operational performance of accounts and projects, ensuring work quality and deadline/budget adherence

    • Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding team accountable and conducting reviews

Basic Requirements:


    • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing, ESG strategy consulting and/or related fields, including agency or in-house communications role

    • Proactive self-starter eager to learn the business of every client

    • Organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task various responsibilities

    • Proactive and self-motivated; anticipate upcoming client projects and deliverables

    • Ability to think critically and demonstrate good judgment

    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; professional phone and email communications

    • Innate desire to provide excellent service to clients

    • Comfort in working in a fast-paced, startup environment
