Location: The Manager of Safety and Security will be the primary safety and security authority at the Carol Stream, IL distribution and logistics center.

Job Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this position is to implement the appropriate safeguards/tools for the protection of company assets, employees, training, product, and visitors on Ingram Micro property.


• The Manager serves as the on-site safety and security advisor to local distribution center management for all matters relating to the protection of wealth generators.


• This position serves as the chairperson of health & safety committee and and manages all aspects of the workers compensation program.


• This position has a dual reporting responsibility; directly reporting to the Director, Safety & Security U.S and the Sr. Manager, Safety and Security.

• Bachelors degree and CPP preferred or equivalent experience.


• Five (5) to seven (7) years previous security experience supervision (preferred) along with three years of safety experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.


• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and common terminology.


• Knowledge of the operation of basic physical security systems, such as CCTV, video, alarm systems, access control, and fire life safety.


• Ability to interface with people at all levels within the company, clearly communicate ideas and concepts, and maintain composure and a high level of calmness.


• Strong interpersonal, written, oral and problem solving skills.
