Job Description:

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Training and Development Manager at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. The Training and Development Manager will perform a variety of duties relating, but not limited to, developing relationships with employee-owners to determine needed training, developing and maintaining online and in-person training through Austin University, and helping further company leadership programs through 1-on-1 coaching and training.

Responsibilities:



  • Partner with company leaders to identify learning objectives, assess skill gaps, and evaluate training needs.

  • Design, develop, and implement both online and in-person trainings.

  • Manage and update current training content.

  • Assist in planning and executing company leadership programs.

  • Responsible for coaching individual employee-owners in a manner consistent with the company’s core values and leadership philosophy.

  • Involved in communicating a consistent, core-values based message throughout the company.

  • Assist other employee-owners of the Leadership & Culture Department in furthering the team’s mission and vision.

  • Perform additional duties assigned as needed.


 


Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, business, education, or equivalent required; or related experience in training and development or equivalent may substitute

  • Background in education, training, or organizational development preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in both developing and delivering training content

  • 3-5 years of experience either coaching or developing others

  • Experience with blended learning techniques (virtual, instructor-led, etc.)

  • Bilingual background a plus, but not required

  • Exceptional verbal skills and concise communication are key to success in this role

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally as needed
