The person in this role is responsible for providing members of the global Integrated Supply Chain with meaningful data that enables them to make informed decisions about how to better deliver the right product to the right place at the right time. This work directly impacts our mission to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life for people around the world.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Seek to understand supply chain issues and data needs: Define data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization
Ensure data dashboards provide required data and actionable insights are clear: Performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets
Help members of the global Integrated Supply Chain interpret and find meaning in the data: Examines and identifies data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making.
Partner with IT Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive continuous improvement via even more meaningful data and analytics solutions: Identifies areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes. Provides inputs for complex Data Science and Big Data Mining projects.
Expected Areas of Competence
Proficient using variety of statistical methods to analyze data, e.g. Arima/SARIMA, Multi Linear Regression, Simple Exponential Smoothing (SES), Croston Method, etc.
Skilled use of statistical software, e.g. R, Python, SAS, SPSS and STATA, SAP IBP
Able to perform general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets
Able to quickly identify what data is driving dashboard results
Able to effectively communicate data-driven insights and influence understanding of a diverse group of stakeholders
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with 5+ years of related professional experience required
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field with 4+ years of related professional experience preferred
2+ years’ performing quantitative and qualitative data analytics & traditional business intelligence experience
2+ years' working knowledge of Supply Chain Business Process including Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, Inbound and Outbound Logistics
Some experience performing supply chain analytics required.
Travel Requirements
100% remote role with occasional travel as needed to meet business partners and build relationships, and/or engage in special meetings and/or workshops
