Position Summary:
The Security Manager is responsible for the overall security and safety of the cultivation and processing facility. Will analyze, implement, and maintain security and transportation policies and protocols to ensure they are in compliance with state and company rules and regulations. The Security Manager will manage and support the security and transportation teams by effectively communicating weekly and monthly department goals and objectives for transportation activities. Will maintain vendor relationships for related IT and security systems across the company. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of security procedures and high-risk transportation operations.

Essential Job Functions:

Monitors facility, operational systems, and equipment to maintain proper working order. Works in partnership with third party vendors for repairs and updates
Develops operating strategies, plans, and procedures, in compliance with state laws and regulations, to safeguard company assets, employees, and visitors
Follow emergency response procedures to respond to weather, fire, intrusion, and security breaches; submit reports as required by law or company standards
Manage organizational security activities as it relates to loss, theft, and diversion of medical marijuana from the facility; develop procedures for conducting investigations in accordance with applicable laws
Develop and implement employee training for facility security and transportation activities; communicate changes in procedure
Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations pertaining to the state program for securing and transporting medical marijuana
Compile and analyze data; prepare reports for use in making operational decisions related to security and transportation
Oversee access control system to ensure employees access is relative to their position and in accordance with state guidelines
Responsible for ensuring Transportation Agents maintain full compliance will all applicable laws and rules, as well as Standard Wellness's transportation policies and procedures
Provides route guidance and threat analysis to ensure transportation activities to and from Standard Wellness facilities are safe and secure
Notifies and coordinates with local law enforcement and the state, if applicable, immediately in the event of a transportation emergency, loss/theft/diversion of product, deviation from trip plan, or any other situation that requires reporting
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
Other duties as requested by your supervisor


Qualifications:
Required:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid drivers' license
Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
Four (4) years' experience in a management position, in security or law enforcement
Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the state for employment within the medical marijuana industry
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Preferred:

Experience with high-risk transportation operations
Experience with GPS tracking and secure communications technology
