Description: Our client is currently seeking a Systems Administrator


Location: OC area
Full-time

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


•Configure and maintain hyperconverged virtualized environment, server and storage infrastructure


•Configure and maintain Azure, active directory and O365


•Configure and maintain operating system and application patching for both servers and workstations


•Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems


•Install hardware and software client computer upgrades, manage user accounts, and maintain backup system


•Create and update incidents within the ticket tracking system including detailed incident and resolution information


•Utilize ticketing system to track, prioritize and report on customer issues from initiation to closure, including assisting helpdesk team members with solutions, escalations, and mentorship


•Review logs and alerts for all essential infrastructure, servers, and systems


•Monitor uptimes, performance baselines and perform troubleshooting


•Maintain and monitor enterprise backup infrastructure


•Support and administer retail location information technology (point of sale systems, retail environment network stacks) and assist with retail store technical support when needed


•Support networking team in troubleshooting and identifying network related issues with retail environments


•Perform computer operational maintenance, which includes ability to install, setup, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize computer systems and components and their peripherals


•Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, as needed


•Maintain and enhance knowledge of our business and industry and keep abreast of current developments and trends in relative areas of technology


•Perform all other duties as assigned by the Technical Lead, Supervisor and or Manager


•Demonstrate awareness and compliance with loss prevention and safety policies and/or procedures


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)


•Proficient in Windows installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2013, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019)


•Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and active directory administration, including MFA, SSO, and AD Connect


•Proficient in Windows Server Application Support, including File Serving, IIS, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP, and more


•Proficient in Mac/OS X, Jamf Pro and Apple iPhones


•Proficient in administering and managing multi-factor authentication technologies (particularly Duo and Okta), including user enrollment and configuration


•Proficient in desktop engineering including endpoint security (anti-virus / malware protection) and deployment automation (Win 10/11 & Apple Mac mixed environment)


•Proficient in comprehensive server, storage, and security design as well as operational knowledge (VMware & Nutanix and Dell EMC PowerScale)


•Proficient in ticketing systems, JIRA preferred


•Proficient in phone system management, Mitel and Cisco preferred.


•Ability to identify technical issues and opportunities that meet the needs of the business


•Ability to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicable


•Ability to establish and foster effective cross functional relationships


•Strong logic, problem-solving, math and Internet skills along with specific attention to detail


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


•Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology


•Minimum 6 years' experience in Informational Technology


•Experience supporting retail environment technology (Point of Sale systems, credit card terminals etc.)
