JOB OVERVIEW


The Director, PMO is responsible for leading a team of program and project managers to drive the successful delivery of projects and implementations. This individual will take proactive ownership of planning, resolve programmatic challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to ensure business objectives are consistently met.



ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the PMO Team and portfolio of projects / implementations


• Oversee planning, resourcing, and project issue resolution, and proactively solve for the leadership team


• Evaluate, intake, and prioritize projects and PMs in partnership with cross-functional teams


• Track deadlines, deliverables, and timelines throughout projects and hold owners accountable to commitments


• Lead cross-functional collaboration and communicate goals, roles and desired outcomes to management and stakeholders


• Create visibility, alignment, and clarity across the organization


• Develop and implement operating models, frameworks, and practices for optimal execution


• Partner with leadership team to develop / formulate short and long-range plans and programs


• Partner with finance team to ensure the financial aspects of various projects are clearly captured as part of the overall programs being managed


• Manage, develop, and mentor PMO team

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


• Proficient in project management tools


• Ability to analyze make decisions based on insights and data


• Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement new processes and improve existing processes


• Ability to drive, influence and collaborate across numerous functional areas


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Ability to manage and mentor a team


• Strong communication and decision-making abilities


• Strong creative thinking skillset


• Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics or Finance


• Minimum 10 years' experience in project management leading complex small-to-large scale projects and programs


• Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership capacity
