Job Description:

As we continue to grow our program we are seeking Psychiatric Clinical Supervisor to join our team. This individual will provide  direct support and supervision to our talented team of Clinical Staff on our 40 bed Acute Adult Psychiatric Unit.

History of the company and facility: 

Pyramid Healthcare is based out of Central Pennsylvania and has been in operations since 1999. Over the last 23 years we have systematically grown our operations to become a national leader in Behavioral Healthcare. We now, proudly, operate over 80 facilities in 7 states and employ over 2800 employees. In July of 2021, we opened our first program in the Commonwealth of Virginia, in Newport News. In the last year we have built out our program in Newport News to offer comprehensive and robust treatment plans and levels of care options to our consumers. 

Position:

Our Clinical Team provides services to our consumers, coordinate with our medical team and other providers, and other duties as assigned. The Clinical Supervisor will report to our Executive Director, while working collaboratively with other leadership at the site level to ensure appropriate client care. Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:
•Supervises the counselors and clinical staff on our 40 bed Acute Adult Psychiatric Unit. 
• Evaluates potential clients for the appropriate level of care requirements and identifies their DSM IVTR
diagnoses, Axis I-V.
• Assists the counselors in the development of the treatment plans.
• Facilitates treatment team meetings and participates in case consults.
• Provides individual and group supervision to the counselors and other staff as assigned.
• Attends shift change and company meetings.
• Maintains caseload as needed.
• Assists the Program Director in developing new programs for the facility.
• Attends trainings as necessary.
• Clerical duties as required for maintenance of client files.
• Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
• Maintains safe, orderly and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention.
• Ensures clinical program occurs daily as scheduled.

Technical Competencies: Capable of role modeling to the clients and staff. Helps to maintain strong clinical
program through leadership of staff team. Maintains positive relationship with referral sources and families.
Maintains compliance with documentation in charts through oversight and audit procedures. Follows all licensing
regulations. Carry out treatment philosophy and mission of organization. Complete required trainings and
mandatory training hours. Working understanding of JCHO, DMAS, and licensing regulations and expectations. 

Education, Experience:
A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social
work, counseling,  or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with consumers. Full Licensure as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Virginia. 

Experience facilitating process group therapy, individual therapy and family therapy. Mental Health experience. Treatment planning experience. Previous supervisory experience.
