What We Are Looking For

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for the production of 3D Systems Additive manufacturing equipment, including printers, accessories, and spares components to meet the needs of our customers. The position leads the manufacturing organization, including supervisors and associates responsible for the assembly of complex electromechanical systems. The position ensures the timely delivery of quality products to customers through the assignment of resources to production requirements, training of resources, enhancing manufacturing capacity, improving efficiency, and leading the team to deliver products aligned with weekly demand plan. Key 3DS collaboration points and partners with this role - Procurement, Quality, Engineering Services, Documentation, Warehousing, Logistics, Human Resources, and Planning.

What You Will Do

• Lead the manufacturing organization and resources
• Develops and maintains an effective organization focused on Quality and On-time Delivery of products
• Sets clear, visible, and consistent group objectives aligned with 3D Systems priorities
• Develops the organization, evaluates personnel, and establish continuity of resources
• Actively promotes and coordinates improvements in cost, quality, and delivery
• Interacts with peers and teams to develop relationships to promote respect, open discussion, and communication
• Actively participates and leads Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S activities to drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and cycle time optimization
• Ensures adherence to Corporate and local processes and procedures
• Evaluates and monitors subordinates' performance, resolves any issues as appropriate.
• Reports out progress and actions taken to ensure delivery of customer needs

Education & Training

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Operations, Relevant Engineering or Science, or Business Management and at least 10 years of experience leading a manufacturing organization
• Use standard tools, dashboards, and best-known methods to assess supplier capability, capacity, prototyping
• LEAN training and implementation experience
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred

• Manufacturing Experience, particularly high complexity, low volume electromechanical systems
• Experience with Operations IT Systems (Oracle, TrackVia, Agile, MRP, ERP or similar business management systems
• Strong experience with production processes, resource management, training and continuous improvement Proven leader with experience developing and driving a team to achieve production goals
• Data driven decision making
• Multi-Product Manufacturing management & resource balancing
• Hands On Manufacturing Experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
