Job Summary:

This position partly supervises the operations ofTable Games on an assigned shift, placing special emphasis on guest service,security of Harrah's Resort Southern California's assets and positive employeemotivation and coaching. This positionalso creates an entertainment environment for all guests. Provide courteous,friendly and prompt service in dealing table games.

Essential JobFunctions:


  • Responsible for the operations of table games on an assigned shift.
  • Displays a working knowledge of all table games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each.
  • Assures that all coin and check racks are filled at all times.
  • Settles disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those that are very difficult to the Table Games Assistant Manager, Table Games Manager, or the Director of Table Games.
  • Assures guest development by 1) interacting with guests, 2) modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow employees and 3) making Comp decisions.
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games employee or gaming guest and reports any situations to assigned superior.
  • Observes problems or differences between Table Games employees and gaming guests and provides assistance if necessary.
  • Counsels, guides, coaches and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.

• College degree preferred.

• Three years casino experience encouraged, preferablyin pit operation.

• Atleast 6 months dealing experience is required and/or successful completion ofdealer school or program at an accredited institution.

• Mustpossess strong money handling and documentation skills.

• Mustmeet Harrah's Rincon standards in regard to rules, game knowledge, and dealing.

• Musthave knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to theTable games.

• Knowledge of casino rules, regulations andprocedures pertinent to Pit operations is preferred.

• Must possess excellent customer relations,leadership and communication skills.

• Must be able to read, write, speak andunderstand English.

• Must be willing to work any day of the week andany shift.

• Must be able to get along with co-workers andwork as a team.

• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Physical, Mental& Environmental Demands:


  • Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around assigned table in the Pit department during entire shift, with regular interval breaks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items.
  • Must be able to walk and be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast pace environment. Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to memorize game rules and procedures.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money.
  • Must have excellent vision (including peripheral) to protect the games.
  • Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
