Job Description:

Come to the HPE Greenlake Cloud Platform team and have the opportunity to join the engineering leadership of the fastest growing edge-to-cloud platform! This is a highly visible role in an organization leading HPE's top initiative.

Responsibilities:


  • This leader will own the infrastructure abstraction layer of the platform, used by all teams within HPE to deliver our hybrid ende-to-cloiud solutions.

  • The leader will communicate and collaborate with VP's and CDO's across HPE to understand their needs, extend the abstraction layer where needed, and guide the different teams on the right way to deliver those needs using what is provided

  • The abstraction layer will be instantiated across different cloud providers, as well as edge and CoLo. Experience in these different environments is a big plus.

  • Provides overall strategic leadership for a geography or business
    segment made up of multiple organizations involved with designing and developing engineering solutions for products, systems, software, and solutions.

  • Creates strategic vision and drives the development of operations and resource plans, goals, and priorities for the geography or business segment based on business and technology roadmap and functional objectives.

  • Manages overall operational activities for the organization, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and that strategic goals and budgets are met in accordance with organizational metrics and business plans.

  • Engages with senior and executive leadership for programs, marketing, supply chain, and technical leaders to integrate activities, escalate and resolve issues, and guide and influence company-wide strategic decision-making

  • Manages and develops executive relationships and escalated issues with outsourced partners and suppliers to ensure that organization is effectively leveraging outsourced resources and identify opportunities for strategic growth and development.

  • Provides executive leadership for business process improvement and cost reduction initiatives and programs across the geography or business segment.

  • Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.

Education and Experience Required:


  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required

  • Advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically 20 or more years of related work experience, including 15 or more years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Experience creating a multi-year strategy and following it all the way to delivery

  • Experience collaborating across the org with other BU's

  • Ideally experience with both device SW and Cloud SW development

  • Ideally experience owning a large scale, mission critical, enterprise-facing cloud service in production

  • Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict
    resolution, and management.

  • Organizational and strategic management skills, including strategic vision and planning development and forecasting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Highly experienced in managing human capital across geographies and functional areas to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.

  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.

    (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.



  • Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.

  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with executive/C-level roles for internal and external partners.

  • Strong understanding of company's policies and processes.
