CREDIT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST I> at Veritiv in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Description:

Job Summary and Scope:

The purpose of this position is to perform exception billing , inventory adjustments and credit memo entry for Veritiv's US business to support the organization. Qualified candidate must be able to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with internal and external business partners. Basic accounting knowledge required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete exception billing to update quantity, item, price, misc. charges or freight prior to billing per established guidelines


• Runs reports to identify outstanding orders for follow up and works with Operations, Sales and Customer Service to resolve issues.


• Creates additional billings in the Order Entry system as required


• Processes credit memos in the Order Entry system according to established approval matrix..


• Supports locations during physical inventory


• Manage assigned tasks within a group mailbox


• Maintains effective communication with external as well as internal customers in Operations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Rebate & Contracts, Average Cost, Customer Service and Sales.


• Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned


• Systems used include Oracle, VOS(SFD), Compass, Excel, Outlook, Word, IXOS scanning, Uniscore
  
  

  Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:

  
  

• Effective written and verbal communication skills


• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word


• Data Entry


• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload


• Self motivated


• Ability to work in a team environment


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Results driven


• Understanding of basic accounting principles


• Oracle knowledge helpful but not required

  : High school or equivalent

  Experience: 1-2 years relevant experience
