Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst II will play a key role in Intuitive's indirect procurement operations by supporting the execution of key strategic sourcing initiatives. This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of spend and supplier analysis, tracking and helping to build the strategic sourcing team KPIs, strategy development, execution of RFP/RFQ activities, supplier evaluation and selection, negotiation of business terms and conditions, and support new systems implementations/enhancements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Analytics and Systems Management
- Conduct general spend analysis on demand for indirect products and services
- Support targeted spend analysis on indirect spend categories, business units, and suppliers
- Track strategic sourcing KPIs and ensure they are accurate and reported to management on time
- Work with the Indirect Procurement Operations team on procurement system implementations and enhancements to ensure strategic sourcing requirements are met
- Identify and share recommendations regarding sourcing strategies to maximize cost savings and drive best value for Intuitive
- Support in developing new indirect procurement programs to help the company scale and address the changing business environment
Strategic Sourcing
- Drive cost savings and supplier consolidation by leading and executing appropriate RFx processes and sourcing strategies
- Conduct detailed market and supplier research to communicate these findings through meaningful research summaries
- Develop and manage sourcing project timelines and lead meetings
- Develop RFXs and create complex bidding and scorecard spreadsheets
- Manage RFP or sourcing process with minimal support for simple-to-medium complexity projects
- Evaluate supplier bids (quantitatively and qualitatively)
- Facilitate the development of award scenarios and recommendations for internal stakeholder evaluation, consideration and decision-making
Contract Negotiation, Development and Management
- Review contracts and spend to assess potential sourcing opportunities
- Meet with contract owners and Intuitive contracts team to follow-up on matters relating to RFPs / sourcing projects
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders, through a collaborative approach, in regards to business terms and negotiations
- Partner with legal /contracts team to negotiate best in class contract terms
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree Required (business, finance, supply chain, or related discipline preferred)
- Minimum 2+ years' work experience with at least 1 year in a finance or procurement
- Strong analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions
- Strong internal and external relationship building skills
- Basic supplier and contract negotiations experience
- Experience with project management responsibilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Natural attention to detail and the drive to get things right with minimal supervision
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively work on projects involving cross functional teams
