Westminster Woods on Julington Creek is currently seeking a full-time Business Office Assistant for our Administration Office. This position computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.
BUSINESS OFFICE ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
1. Responsible for posting Cash and Account Payable transactions. Includes entering all ancillary charges (IE. housekeeping, maintenance, phone invoices, etc).
2. Responsible for Accounts Receivable invoicing and collections for commercial insurance companies.
3. Assist the Business Office Manager with processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Process payroll reports in UltiPro.
4. Review and assist the Business Office Manager with processing & reviewing invoices. Contact vendors to clarify pricing, description or questions regarding to community related invoices.
5. Contact insurance companies to verify insurance benefits for Medicare Supplemental Insurance. Obtain authorization for Managed Care Residents.
6. Prepare and send invoices to insurance companies for Medicare-coinsurance and Managed Care services provided to residents.
7. Open and distribute daily mail. Data-entry and monthly reports as required by the Business Office Manager.
BUSINESS OFFICE ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: High School -or- equivalent; 2 years related experience; Excel and data entry skills. Knowledge of filing secondary medical insurance claims preferred.
