Department of Graduate Social Work

Field Education Director

Under the supervision of the Department Director, the Field Education Director (Managing Assistant Director 3) exercises general management and supervision over the Field Education program at Kean University; manages field education placement coordination for social work students; participates in the development of goals, policies, and procedures for the Field Education Office; and performs related work as required. The Field Education Director may be required to teach two in-load courses per academic semester (fall and spring) based on department needs and the Dean's discretion. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE accredited institution and two or more years of professional social work experience is required. License or eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of NJ and teaching experience in Social Work Education is preferred. Previous experience with student learning outcomes assessment is highly desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Candidate must have proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs and database management.
