Location: The Colony, TX

Salary: 30-35/hr

Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Tax Accounting •Prepare or coordinate the preparation of Federal and various State Excise tax returns •Prepare or coordinate the preparation of Federal and various State Income tax returns for selected entities •Prepare or coordinate the preparation of local business, property, and sales and use tax returns •Function as a resource person for all accountants with less experience in tax matters •Work with independent auditors, customers, vendors and tax agencies as a representative of Bronco Wine Co. and affiliates (or related entities) General Accounting •Assist Director of Finance and Administration in the following areas: •Month-end journal entries and supporting analysis with schedules •Month-end financial statement preparation for assigned companies •Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts for assigned company(s) •Annual - accounting accruals and reconciliation's for purposes of tax return preparation for assigned company(s) •Produce reports as requested by management on activities of assigned companies •Special projects, schedules and analysis as required •Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: •Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting •Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the tax accounting field •Proficiency in Microsoft Office •General and Tax Accounting Software, Tier I or II ERP experience Knowledge of: •Tax accounting theory including return preparation and analysis •Auditing principles including work paper preparation and adequate internal controls •Industry practices and procedures related to wineries, growers, manufacturing (standard costing) •Resources to explore and offer tax saving opportunities Ability to: •Analyze data and perform complex mathematical calculations independently •Communicate effectively / both written and oral •Decision making / problem solving •Plan, organize and prioritize workload
