As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Actively supporting and following site EHS requirements


• Performing tests and inspections of equipment and preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation of equipment


• Work on projects and priorities assigned in keeping with production schedules


• Installing, modifying, and upgrading electrical, electronic, mechanical, and computer equipment


• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, basic electrical systems, motors, controls, and related equipment


• Analyze issues on assigned equipment, implement corrective actions, communicate results and document in proper systems (database)


• Assisting in developing plans to correct equipment deficiencies and determining long term solutions for equipment issues to improve reliability


• Work independently while completing duties as assigned or necessary including the willingness to work overtime as needed


• Participate in training and development programs on and off site.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.


• Possess a minimum Two (2) years of Maintenance experience in a multi-craft mechanical/electrical or controls maintenance position OR are within the last Six (6) months of obtaining a two-year technical degree/diploma in a multi-craft technology program with maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

This position is on first shift (day shift) M-F day shift, with no expected overtime, weekend or rotational shifts.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associate Degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology.


• Four (4 ) years of Multi-Craft experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a private, public, government or military environment.


• OSHA 30HR and NFPA 70e


• Ability to adapt to an evolving production environment and multi-tasking.
