The MTA Safety and Street Monitor will provide street level monitoring of Service Delivery Providers for all services as required and will be responsible for ensuring Service Delivery Contractors meet or exceed the MTA Mobility compliance requirements. This includes performing random and/or schedule garage pullouts inspections for safety and efficiency. The MTA Safety and Street Monitor interfaces primarily with Service Delivery Operators(s) to ensure that safe and professional high-quality customer service is emphasized and reinforced in all phases of service to Mobility customers
The position is located in office in Baltimore.
What Will Your Job Look Like?
Perform random and or scheduled site visits, audits, and trip monitoring for safety and efficiency compliance
Conduct location reviews to evaluate accessibility and identify unsafe stops, conditions or surroundings
Conduct garage pullout inspections at the garages operated by Service Delivery Providers, to ensure the best safety practices are being utilized for a high quality operation
Perform random and/or scheduled site visits and inspections
Monitor pick-ups and drop-offs at high volume locations for safety and efficiency compliance
Ensure safety and comfort features are in good working order (i.e. headlights, tire tread, signals, etc.)
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and briefings
Maintain extensive knowledge and understanding of MTA Mobility policies and procedures
Observe operator interactions and customers door-to-door transports
Observe training program and operator safety files
Respond to MTA Mobility inquiries in a timely, professional manner
All you need is...
High school degree or G.E.D.
2+ years’ experience of quality related experience
2+ years’ experience working in a paratransit safety and street role, preferred
Willingness and ability to travel locally within the Baltimore area 75+% of the time
Proficient at reading and following maps
Working knowledge of Trapeze PASS paratransit software suite or event-based paratransit application is required and a detailed understanding of Trapeze is a plus
Prior Experience with ADA paratransit services, preferred
Audit experience and/or knowledge of Paratransit guidelines, preferred
Must possess a valid driver’s license
