Grind and polish various optical materials to specified tolerances based on manufacturing instructions using CNC Machines

Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions

Actively monitor process controls and instructions in collaboration with engineering and other optical manufacturing technicians

Assist in maintaining productivity and efficiency and meeting scheduled delivery dates through internal departmental communication and occasional external reporting

Work with other optical technicians to develop basic machining and manufacturing skills along with developing an area of specialization

Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements

Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness of the work area

Minimum Requirements:

Functional knowledge of CNC controls though certified program and/or on the job experience

Understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T

Positive attitude with willingness to work as a team

Highschool Diploma

Preferred Requirements:

Optics handling and cleaning skills
