Caliber Home Loans, Inc. is a full-service national mortgage lender and agency direct seller/servicer. Caliber originates loans through various channels and transaction types, including a network of retail branches, wholesale lending, correspondent and emerging banker lending, and a consumer-direct centralized operation specializing in a variety of loan programs for purchase and refinance such as conforming, jumbo, and government products. Caliber also offers innovative servicing solutions for both conforming and non-conforming loans. Caliber is led by a veteran senior management team that consists of mortgage banking professionals with a history of building successful national mortgage operations. Caliber is owned by Lone Star Funds, a global private equity fund.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst Team Lead is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of daily work functions by Business and Technical Analysts, special projects and vendor performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Execute successful people management by:
  • o Overseeing Junior and Senior business analyst work activities.
  • o Assist business analysts and technical principals to maintain all service levels.
  • o Actively communicate to internal and external staff on all levels, as needed.
  • o Set operational targets and help drive improvements to achieve those targets.
  • o Develop strong management reporting and scorecards.
  • Contribute to the success of the operation's support team by supporting daily functions such as:
  • o Evaluate projects for potential process improvement and manage resources to deliver quality results in a timely manner.
  • o Collaborate with vendor to create comprehensive requirements for all system enhancements and changes.
  • o Utilize change control procedures and process to maintain proper deployment.
  • o Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve quality of output.
  • o Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision; prioritize multiple objectives, initiatives and employee work processes; and exercise independent judgement to obtain optimal results. This can include:
  • o Determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • o Manage significant and/or unique issues where analysis of data requires the evaluation of intangibles.
  • o Develop, configure, and optimize business processes from inception to deployment
  • Asses processes, measurements, and interpret data while managing time and cost restraints.
  • Coordinate and manage daily work flow requirements with VP.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1+ years experience managing IT, business projects, and people.
  • Prior experience in mortgage servicing and vendor management.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities; effective time management.
  • Strong analytical skills; effective decision-making skills with the ability to appropriately exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong quality orientation with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, effectively function as a member of the Operations Support Team.
  • Accountability; strong work ethic.
  • Integrity, ability to maintain and work with confidential information.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include MS Word & Excel.
  • Strong SQL database skills.
