POSITION SUMMARY

As a senior member of the QA team, the Senior Quality Engineer will be providing leadership and support for testing Caliber's loan orignating software (LOS), and other loan products and portals ("applications"). This role will help to develop and manage Caliber's strategy to design and develop test cases, automate them, execute them, and then incorporate them in to a continuous integration environment. The Senior Quality Engineer is also responsible for the management and strategy regarding the creation of the testing components for manual and automated testing of Caliber applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Implement test case, script development, maintenance, and storage strategies.
  • Provide insight into testabilities of proposed features of functionalities.
  • Accountable for lower test environment stability and proper escalations.
  • Assist and support the QA project and track teams with their testing and QA activities.
  • Reports daily progress of testing activities within a given sprint or release and escalate testing issues using the appropriate escalation paths.
  • Analysis of business requirements and designs for testability.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to develop automated test cases and scripts and the execution of functional system integration, regression, and onn-functioning testing types.
  • Participates in coding and test planning, estimating, scheduling, implemenation, and code reviews when needed.
  • Work with project participants to maximize productivity, effectiveness and timely completion.
  • May provide coaching, training or mentorship to peers/ junior level colleagues.
  • Develop domain knowledge of Caliber's businesses to include an understanding of short-term goals and long-term strategies for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Caliber policies, processes and practices.
  • Role model Caliber ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related techinical discipline or a combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years of leading or managing a manual automation test projects such as Agile SCRUM, Waterfall, etc.
  • Experience in project management tools including Azure DevOps.
  • Experience at creating software defect reports.
  • Strategic, forward thinker with the ability to problem solve at a strategic and tactical level.
  • Strong analytical skills; effective decision-making skills; ability to appropriately exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills that enables communication on a technical and non-technical level.
