What can you expect?
You will have day-to-day responsibility to provide support to the Regional CFO with reporting, analytics and business insight for the MMA Florida region. You will focus on the core areas related to the monthly close, forecasting and budget cycles, along with various other business analytics.
The position requires excellent technical skills and a working style that is proactive, self-driven and has the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of business stakeholders.

Role/responsibilities:
Analyzing and planning for the future, wearing multiple hats and identifying various improvement strategies.
Engaging with and influence the full breadth of top management - not just CFO - ensuring they have the necessary information and insights.
Be the ambassador to all business leaders. They are a crucial part of decision making in areas such as planning, making resourcing decisions, measuring success, approving investments, and more.
Focus on high-quality analytics and predictive planning to analyze multiple scenarios and provide actionable information.
Measure how well Accounting and Operations are collaborating and supporting the company's long-term goals by applying applies your expertise to facilitate a collaborative business environment.
You are a key contributor to the organization in supporting and helping craft tactics and strategy
We will count on you to:
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for a variety of accounting, finance and management uses. Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts and results analytics.
Develop/maintain financial models to enable analytics around trends, performance, and outlook.
Develop Excel models to analyze financials and provide insight to Business leaders.
Perform ad hoc analyses on financial data and business requests to monitor tactical decisions and enable strategic decision making.
Facilitate sound management decisions through financial and metric reporting while highlighting material variances, trends, & risks/opportunities, and providing insightful commentary to the business and corporate partners.
Foster service-focused relationships with the business leaders while effectively collaborating with other support functions.Support Regional / National initiatives to improve efficiency and visibility to business leaders.
Assist with automation of processes and on-going analytical development.
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
5+ years of experience in FP&A, with Accounting background
Strong knowledge of finance principles and processes
Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and database structures and functions
Experience reporting on financial and/or non-financial key performance indicators
Advanced proficiency with Excel; highly proficient with PowerPoint; experienced user of Business Intelligence systems
What makes you stand out:
Experience in the Insurance industry, Financial Services, Banking, or Public Accounting
Strong business insight and experience with financial modelling; forecasting operating and profitability performance
Experience developing financial models
Strong understanding of both accounting and business operations
Essbase / OLAP data base experience
