The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Boiler Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintaining of Boiler plant equipment. This would include Boilers, Reverse Osmosis units, and associated boiler room equipment. Also work closely with Plant Support and Engineering groups to define and implement modifications and improvements in support of continuous improvement.
 

 Here, you will make an impact by:

• Troubleshoot Boiler utilities equipment and recommend changes for continuous improvement.


• Assist in meeting site energy reduction goals.


• Maintain site water treatment equipment.


• Maintaining site electronic and pneumatic controls for boiler room equipment.


• Understanding of boiler operations.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Minnesota First Class B boilers license. “completed and verified prior to start


• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs and willingness to work overtime on short notice.


• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Positive Can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in Utilities operation.


• Excellent work attendance record.


• Ability to monitor and react to Fire Protection and Building Automation Systems.


• Water chemistry knowledge


• Posses’ good customer relations and communication skills


• Requires completion of in-plant Boiler room training program.


• Solid understanding of Utilities operations and systems.


• Ability to work independently or as a team

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
